Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto hit brilliant tons
Bangladesh put up an imposing total of 334/5 in their allotted 50 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant 112 runs off 119 balls. He was well-supported by Najmul Hossain Shanto, who contributed a vital 104 runs off 105 balls. The other notable contributions came from Shakib Al Hasan (32) and Mohammad Naim (28).
The Afghan bowlers faced a tough challenge as they tried to contain the Bangladeshi batters. Mujeeb Ur Rahman (1/62) and Gulbadin Naib (1/58) claimed 1 wicket each but were a bit expensive.

Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam restrict Afghanistan at 245
Chasing the daunting target, Afghanistan could only manage to score 245 runs before being bowled out in the 44th over. Ibrahim Zadran was the top scorer for Afghanistan, displaying an impressive innings of 75 runs off 74 balls. Rahmat Shah (33) and Hashmatullah Shahidi (51) also made valuable contributions.
Bangladeshi bowlers were able to maintain pressure throughout the innings, with Taskin Ahmed being the star performer, taking 4 wickets for 44 runs. Shoriful Islam (3 wickets for 36 runs) and Hasan Mahmud (1 wicket for 67 runs) also played crucial roles.
