Transfer Deadline Day LIVE: Man Utd confirm signing, Mo Salah uncertainty, Arsenal clearout

DONE DEAL: Forest sign Tavares

Nottingham Forest have signed Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares on loan, with the option to buy.

The 23-year-old full-back spent last season on loan with Marseille and has now moved again.

He said: "I'm really happy to be here. Forest is an historic club which won two European Cups and to be part of it makes me really happy.

"I'm really happy to stay in the Premier League as it's the best league in the world and I'm thankful to Forest for giving me that opportunity."

Arsenal departures pending

Rob Holding and Albert Sambi Lokonga are in talks over leaving Arsenal on Deadline Day.

Crystal Palace are considering a permanent move for Holding, while Luton have made an offer to take Lokonga on loan for the season.

Arsenal are open to losing both players, while Nuno Tavares is also being lined up by Nottingham Forest, who are - as ever - incredibly busy in the transfer market.

Private jet booked for Amrabat

Time if of the essence for Manchester United as they try to land Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

United have already seen a loan offer rejected, and Fulham are also interested, but they appear confident of getting their man.

Manchester Evening News has discovered that a private jet has been booked from Fiorentina to Manchester this afternoon - and the club have not denied booking it.

With Sergio Reguilon in the building and having signed a contract, the club's attention is now on Amrabat. A compromise of a loan deal with an obligation to buy is expected to be the way forward, with United hampered by financial fair play considerations.

Klopp reaffirms Salah stance

Jurgen Klopp is speaking in a press conference ahead of Liverpool's game against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The first questions have, of course, focused on transfers, however. After refusing to speak about Ryan Gravenberch, Klopp said this on Mohamed Salah, who has been the subject of interest from Al-Ittihad.

"The position remains the same, absolutely," he said. "That's how it is, no doubt. Nothing else to say. No offer as far as I know."

Lazio in talks for Greenwood

Lazio are in talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Mason Greenwood.

The Italian club are determined to get a deal done but there is still interest from other European clubs.

Olympiacos have also explored a deal while Besiktas have looked at a possible loan after United made him available.

Greenwood will have the final say but is running out of time to get a deal done.

BREAKING: Chelsea complete Palmer signing

Cole Palmer has completed a £42.5million move from Manchester City to Chelsea, writes John Cross.

It is a flat £40m fee up front with £2.5m in add-ons and, after an exhaustive window, it is expected to be Chelsea’s last signing. The 21-year-old forward has signed a seven-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

Palmer was seen as one of City’s best prospects, but it is a huge fee for a player who has made just three starts in the Premier League.

"I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign," said Palmer. "I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here."

Palmer says goodbye to Man City

Cole Palmer has posted a lengthy and emotional goodbye message to Manchester City, ahead of his move to Chelsea.
