A job seeker in the US says she was scammed out of $3,500 after being offered a fake job via LinkedIn.
TikToker Jenn (@lolleavemyspamalone) has shared her story as a warning to others.
She begins the video wiping away tears, explaining, "I literally unprivated my TikTok account so I can share this with you guys."
Having recently graduated from college, Jenn has been busy applying for jobs including via LinkedIn, she said.

"Disclaimer, I know. Don't even say in the comments saying, like, 'You should know.' I know. I got a whole college degree. I know," she continued.
"I'm just sharing my truth so y'all don't fall for the same thing."
In the video, which has been viewed 6.1 million times, she said she applied for a job via LinkedIn and got through to the interview process with a company called Bold Business via an app called Wired. The job was for a social media specialist.

Bold Business is a real business, however the people who had contacted Jenn were scammers only claiming to work there.
Jenn soon received a "really, really good" job offer, however she still felt uncertain, so she looked up the workplace and saw a number of people on LinkedIn seemingly employed by the company.
"I had a offer letter, I had a contract, basically how any normal job is," she explained.
During the onboarding process, she was told the company was organising a laptop and phone for her, as well as a printer.
"I feel so stupid. Now I'm saying this out loud, I'm so stupid, but I've been applying for so many jobs, like so many jobs and in this market right now it's really hard," she laments, adding that she thought she'd "finally got my big break."

Jenn said she was sent a cheque to order her equipment via a supplier the 'company' recommended.
She banked the cheque, which she though had gone through, but it ultimately bounced.
She had $3,500 of her own money in her account at the time she banked the cheque.
That evening she received an email saying both her business and personal accounts had "insufficient funds." Her money was gone.
"LinkedIn is full of scams," she said at the end of the video.
"Please be careful."
After sharing her heartbreaking story, Jenn was overwhelmed by messages of support and then the job offers started rolling in, including from the real Bold Business. In her most recent video, she says she has interviewed with the company.
Jenn has also contacted her bank to attempt to retrieve the money she lost.
"Scams work for a reason. Do not beat yourself up!" one TikToker comforted her.
"THIS SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME BUT THE BANK LADY SAVED MY LIFED AND REFUSED TO SEND IT," said another.
Another advised: "Call your bank! Something similar happened to me and Chase fully refunded me!!"
"As a recruiter and onboarder ZERO money should come from your account or a company to send you money to buy items. I.T. should send you everything," another TikToker warned.
One job prospect read: "I work for a digital marketing company and I think our Atlanta office is hiring for a role that's perfect for new grads!"
"Worked in banking ops for 10 years. The check definitely bounced; file a claim with the bank. I'm so sorry this happened," added another.
