Jake Paul has surefire prediction for Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou

IMAGO/Everett Collection: Jake Paul will be watching Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou in October.

While YouTuber star turned boxer Jake Paul still waits for his next challenge, the ‘Problem Child’ will be paying close attention to what his fellow Professional Fighters League signee Francis Ngannou can bring against boxing champion Tyson Fury in October.

As both Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou have recently signed with the PFL, neither man has a bout booked with the promotion just yet. Having just beaten Nate Diaz via unanimous decision in his latest boxing endeavor, the YouTuber is thrilled to just watch the action from a distance while the ‘Predator’ and Tyson Fury go at it in two months.

Jake Paul praises Francis Ngannou

In an interview with TNT Sports (transcribed by The Mirror), Paul put the trash talk aside and actually praised Ngannou for taking control of his career and finding better opportunities for himself outside of the UFC. Nevertheless, the Problem Child still believes the former UFC champon is going to have his hands full against a high-caliber boxer such as Fury.

“I’m just excited for Francis to be getting his opportunity and to be showing other fighters, particularly from the UFC that they can break out of there and make their own lane. He’s finally getting the pay he deserves but it’s definitely going to be a tough challenge.”

Paul expects an exciting fight between Ngannou and Fury

While analyzing the matchup, Jake Paul also pointed how Ngannou’s scary knockout power could put Fury in trouble, though the boxer is also more than used to dealing with such power punchers. All in all, the 26-year-old just hopes for a good, exciting battle between the pair of heavyweights.

“I’ve fought all of these MMA fighters and none of them have been able to do anything against me. Tyson is going to bring the smoke but Francis has that one-punch knockout power so we’ll see if he can land on Tyson. It’s going to be a good fight and I’m excited for it.”

Mike Tyson is on Ngannou’s side

Francis Ngannou is not alone in his mission to beat Tyson Fury, and is counting on the best help available to accomplish his goal. With boxing legend Mike Tyson on his side, the Predator seems to be in great company ahead of the match. In fact, ‘Iron Mike’ himself shared his views on the matchup in an interview with First Take.

“We’re going to work and we’re going to exert everything he has for this particular match. I definitely believe that it’s going to be a tougher fight than anyone thinks.”

Catch Ngannou vs. Fury in October

Though Jake Paul (7-1) has yet to beat a boxer in his career, the 26-year-old has a few impressive names on his record already, such as former UFC champions Tyron Woodley (twice) and Anderson Silva, as well as Ben Askren and Nate Diaz in his most recent outing. Though the 26-year-old signed a deal with the PFL, there is still not a date or opponent for his debut.

Meanwhile, Francis Ngannou is set to make his boxing debut against Tyson Fury on October 28, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, Fury’s WBC heavyweight belt will not be on the line, as the Predator is not a ranked athlete under the promotion.
