Underneath a quirky gimmick, Bray Wyatt aka Windham Rotunda possessed a jolly soul who used to quickly blend with others. Among many of his close associates in the industry, former WWE champion Big E chose to bring out one special incident with his friend. The incident stems from the memory book of their high school wrestling days. Before dipping their feet into the Stamford-based company, both of them attained state championships in high school wrestling. It led to the build-up of a compelling match-up between them, but unfortunately, they ended up accepting forfeits.

Sharing the insight, the 37-year-old wrote on Twitter, ”Windham was a state champion wrestler in high school & grew up a couple of counties over from me. We were supposed to wrestle at a dual meet during the 2002-2003 season. I was at 215 and he was a very powerful & skilled heavyweight. I didn’t want to bump up, and we both accepted forfeits because our schools didn’t have anyone in our respective weight classes.”

However, despite their missed bout, the unforgettable brotherhood that cooked between the two standout stars was a real deal.

Their relationship culminated in countless moments and friendly jabs between them in the latter days.
