Hamilton’s defense allowed just 271 total yards and forced four turnovers in a road shutout win over Lakota East Friday night to even its record on the year. The Big Blue got a big night from quarterback Antonio Mathis, who went 14-of-18 for 176 yards with touchdown tosses to Roemale Shephard-Ruffin and Na’sir Harper. Cournell Bennett-McCoy, who ran for 104 yards on 28 carries, capped the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run with 1:25 remaining in the game. Hamilton’s defense got interceptions from Marlon Reed, C.J. Bryant and Jailen Morris along with a fumble recovery from Bennett-McCoy. Elsewhere, Mason Holbrook had 1.5 sacks and Gracen Goldsmith led Hamilton with seven tackles and a sack.
Lakota East quarterback Jamison Kitna was 15-of-31 for 189 yards while Ryder Hooks led the Thunderhawks rushing attack with 59 yards. Zion Neal was the game’s leading receiver with 10 catches for 132 yards.

A pair of David Hambrick touchdown runs and a P.J. Nelson 15-yard pick-six in the second half helped Princeton hand Lakota West its first Greater Miami Conference loss since 2019. Lakota West led 3-0 at halftime after Brayden Benner’s 24-yard field goal, but Princeton’s defense would go onto allow only 126 total yards. Offensively, Princeton churned out 174 yards on the ground. Hambrick had 50 yards on 15 carries to go with two touchdowns and DeAngelo Birch went for 101 on 15 totes.
Princeton sophomore defensive back Andrew Wells tallied a game-high 12 tackles while defensive ends Khy’Lek Jarrett and Gino Nesmith each had 1.5 sacks. Brennan Remy led Lakota West’s offense with six catches for 49 yards. Jiovionni Wilson and Trey Barnette each had two catches for the Firebirds, combining for 72 yards.

- West Clermont 33, Little Miami 14 - FINAL
Trailing 14-7 at the half, West Clermont turned to running back Bo Rickman to pull away in the second half. Rickman’s trio of third-quarter touchdown runs gave West Clermont a 26-14 lead going into the fourth quarter and Landon Young’s 2-yard touchdown run with 2:53 remaining sealed a win for the Wolves. Rickman and Young each crossed the century mark on the ground with Rickman running for 185 yards on 17 attempts and Young going for 103 on 16 totes. Young also opened the game’s scoring in the first quarter with a seven-yard touchdown catch from West Clermont quarterback Bryson Earley.
Little Miami built its halftime lead behind quarterback Case Miller, who threw a touchdown to Charlie McGuinness and ran for a 1-yard score to make it 14-7.

A big first half elevated Elder to its first win of the season Friday night as the Panthers opened up a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter. Quarterback Ryan Brass was effective through the air and on the ground, throwing touchdowns to Josh Mirus and Drew Murphy in the first half and running for two touchdowns in the second half to help Elder pull away. Brass finished 11-of-18 for 180 yards and ran for a game-high 84 on 12 carries. Mirus led all receivers with seven catches for 101 yards and a score.
Defensively, Elder forced three turnovers with Joshua Dugan recovering a pair of fumbles and Max Stallmeyer jumping on another. Henry Heitz tallied two sacks for the Panthers. Elder will stay at home next week when it welcomes Springboro to The Pit.

Lem Grayson’s 1-yard touchdown run with 4:21 left in regulation was enough to lift Badin to its 30th consecutive regular-season victory. The Rams trailed 6-0 in the third quarter but rallied with 10 consecutive points to improve to 2-0 on the year. Senior kicker Nick Warner got the Rams on the board with a 41-yard field goal in the third quarter. Badin is now one victory away from matching a school record for most consecutive regular season wins. The Rams won 31 in a row from 1963-66.
