WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry had a successful wrestling career, where he managed to win the European Championship, the ECW Championship, and unquestionably the biggest achievement in his WWE career was capturing the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton at Night of Champions 2011. The World's Strongest Man has feuded with the likes of The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Kane, John Cena, and other major stars throughout his career. However, Henry departed WWE for All Elite Wrestling in 2021.
Henry has been involved in several high-stakes matches throughout his WWE career, but there were some gimmick matches and championships that Henry did not manage to win during his 25-year stint in WWE. Henry is a WWE Hall of Famer and he is a legend in the wrestling business for his longevity and efforts outside the squared circle when he was an ambassador in WWE.
10 Never Won The Hardcore Championship
Mark Henry had to wait three years after his WWE debut in September 1996 to hold a championship in WWE. He helped Jeff Jarrett beat D'Lo Brown to clinch both the Intercontinental and European Championships at SummerSlam 1999.
Henry was given the European Championship by Jeff Jarrett. Henry's European Championship reign lasted a month as he dropped the title to D'Lo at Unforgiven 1999. Another tertiary title that Henry never won was the WWE Hardcore Championship. Henry's background wasn't hardcore, and it wasn't a shock that he never won the Hardcore Championship.
9 Never Won The United States Championship
The WWE United States Championship is one of the most prestigious championships, and it was one title that Henry never managed to get his hands on. Henry was a proud American, and that was there for everyone to see when he feuded and challenged Rusev for the United States Championship in 2016.
Henry failed to take home the United States Championship from Rusev and that wasn't the first time that he challenged for the United States Championship. He faced off with the Shield's Dean Ambrose for the US Championship in 2014 with Henry coming up short once more.
8 Never Won The Intercontinental Championship
The Intercontinental Championship is another prestigious title that Mark Henry never failed to capture in his WWE career. The World's Strongest Man could have benefitted with a run as Intercontinental Champion but it failed to materialize.
He had a golden opportunity to win the Intercontinental Championship in the Elimination Chamber match in 2015. Henry's chances evaporated by Sheamus, and Ryback went on to win the Intercontinental Championship in one of the worst Elimination Chamber matches in WWE history.
7 Never Won A Casket Match
The casket match is not Mark Henry's speciality but he has featured in a couple of casket matches. Henry attempted to break The Undertaker's WrestleMania unbeaten streak at WrestleMania 22 when they squared off in a casket match, and Undertaker prevailed to go 14-0 at WrestleMania.
A couple of years later, Henry and Undertaker had a WrestleMania rematch in the shape of another casket match on an episode of Raw in 2008. The result remained the same with Undertaker seeing off the World's Strongest Man once again.
6 Never Became Mr. Money In The Bank
The thought of Mark Henry as Mr. Money in the Bank is a scary prospect. Henry holding the Money in the Bank briefcase would have been good for his career as he was guaranteed to win a World Championship by cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Henry has only participated in two Money in the Bank ladder matches. He was involved in the penultimate Money in the Bank ladder match to occur at WrestleMania in 2009, and he was featured in the Raw Money in the Bank ladder match in 2010. He came up short both times with CM Punk winning and The Miz prevailing in the latter.
5 Never Won An Elimination Chamber Match
The Elimination Chamber match was another gimmick match that Henry failed to conquer. Henry competed in just two Elimination Chamber matches but he had a decent outing in his first Elimination Chamber match in 2013. The winner became the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29.
Henry eliminated the WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane from the bout. Furthermore, Randy Orton removed him from proceedings with Henry far from happy. Henry's second Elimination Chamber appearance was two years later with the vacant Intercontinental Championship on the line. Ryback went on to claim the Intercontinental Championship.
4 Never Won The WWE Tag Team Championship
Mark Henry isn't a tag team specialist by any means, but he has teamed up with several wrestlers throughout his WWE career, and, surprisingly, he's never won the WWE Tag Team Championship. Henry and D'Lo Brown challenged the New Age Outlaws for the titles, and Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett but failed to wrestle the straps away from them.
Henry teamed up with MVP in 2009 and they challenged Jeri-Show for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. Once more, Henry was unable to add the WWE Tag Team Championship to his cabinet.
3 Never Main Evented WrestleMania
Main eventing WrestleMania is a big deal and only a select few wrestlers get the chance to headline WrestleMania. Being a former World Heavyweight Champion, Mark Henry would have liked to have headlined WrestleMania but he never got the chance to do it.
Henry's biggest match in his WrestleMania career was against The Undertaker in a casket match at WrestleMania 22. Henry beat Ryback at WrestleMania 29 which was a handy win for the veteran, but no WrestleMania main event was on his resume.
2 Never Won The Royal Rumble
Another thing that Mark Henry failed to accomplish and that was to win the Royal Rumble match. The World's Strongest Man has competed in nine traditional Royal Rumble matches with his first Royal Rumble match appearance in 1998 and his final one in 2017.
Henry winning the Royal Rumble match would have been a shock but his size and strength could have got him all the way. In all, Henry has never won a match at the Royal Rumble period as he lost a World Heavyweight Championship match to Kurt Angle in 2006, and six years later to Daniel Bryan in a triple threat steel cage match that involved Big Show.
1 Never Won The WWE Championship
Mark Henry teased retirement and he turned heel by attacking John Cena. Despite being a former World Heavyweight Champion, the WWE Championship eluded Mark Henry from his career. At Money in the Bank 2013, Henry was looking to end Cena's WWE Championship reign.
This was a decent WWE Championship match, and WWE should have pulled the trigger with Henry as the WWE Champion. His acting was exceptional when he teased retirement as many thought that he had retired for real. Henry never got his hands on the WWE Championship, but he won't feel too disheartened about it as he won a World Championship which some wrestlers haven't achieved.
